Tashi Taliaferro, Executive Director

My journey started at the age of 2 with the death of my mother. It marked who I became, and it taught me the impermanence of life. Little did I know that her death would lead me to where I am today.

At a young age I clearly knew my life was about “service.” I wanted to “comfort those in need, in sorrow, & in pain.” I have always been asked when doing my hospice work. How do you do this? My answer is always the same: How can I NOT do this. The work chose me, and it is my heart’s calling. Helping a dying person on their sacred journey is one of the greatest gifts I have been given.  I am honored to be at their bedside.

I have been a nurse for over 30 years and my career has taken me on many journeys. From working in the Emergency Room, Hospice, National Institute of Health, British & Canadian Embassy in Prague,  to being the founder and director of an International Medical Clinic, I have an entrepreneur and visionary spirit.

With grace and gratitude, we thank you.
