Tashi, along with her husband Doc, founded The Good Hearts in 2022. She has been a registered nurse for 34 years and her career has included time in the emergency room, twelve years as a Hospice Nurse, and many positions at the National Institute of Health. Internationally, she was the Medical Officer at the Canadian and British Embassy in Prague and was the owner and director of an International Medical clinic.
Tashi knew at a young age that she wanted her life to be about service, comforting those in need, in sorrow, and in pain. She became and End-of-Life Doula in 2010 and earned a certificate in “Contemplative End of Life Care” at Naropa University in 2013. She has also earned her NEDA EOL Doula Proficiency Badge.
Emily “Em” Cavey

Emily is a professional photographer, concentrating in documentary and legacy (end-of-life) photography. She is also an end-of-life doula with a certificate from the University of Vermont. And, she has pursued grassroots community service in Montgomery County for nearly two decades.
Emily seeks to promote awareness of and resources for end of life care for underserved communities. At The Good Hearts Foundation, Emily’s focus is providing end-of-life care, memorializing individual’s legacies, and bringing together different constituents in the community to support the organization’s mission.
